Cyclops

I painted this in about 2 weeks for the Table for One show.  It came as a wonderful shock when I found out it sold!  Pictured is the work in progress.

Pigeon

I am obsessed with Victorian houses, and the older buildings in San Francisco.  I am also obsessed with birds.  I was thinking about how lucky the pigeons are to be able to live in any Victorian they want - rent free.  The sketch is a human  pigeon perched atop a Victorian. Cooo-cooo!

Hmm, I think  I painted this for a friend's 19th birthday.  Funny there's only 16 candles.

Mechanical Pencil

When I was in high school I really liked the look of mechanical things.  Here's a mechanical seahorse I drew on the way to a sailboat race.

Loser

I painted this portrait of my cat, Billy, when I was in college.  It took about 2 days.  I sold it on eBay, but I didn't get the price I wanted which was something over $100.  Instead it sold for $7 to some nice gentleman in Georgia.  Unfortunately, the Postal Service said it would never make it there (from the west coast) in one piece.  They referred me to UPS who charged me $100 to ship it.  I had only set the shipping price to $15 or so.  The guy liked the painting, but I sure got screwed.  They should make business classes a requirement for art students!

Portrait of a Wordsmith

He was writing a press release and I had nothing better to do than draw.  It is a silly conceptual drawing showing the act of converting thoughts into a digital file - and a demonstration of boredom.  Occasionally he'd miss a letter.

The Space Displacer

I've tried selling this painting at a gallery, on Craigslist, and on Etsy to no avail.  I did get quite a few scam emails about it, though.
